This is my first painting of this charming lighthouse on Puget Sound. It was one of my favorite places, so when a dear friend took a beautiful photo of it, I was inspired to create this piece. The dark skies in the East and the sun setting in the West gave a dramatic setting to the picture. I liked it so much I made a second painting on larger paper. The white buildings were the focus of the picture. They stand out like sentinels guarding a precious place.
