One of my sons does the RAMROD: biking around Mt. Rainer in one day. He took a photo of his bike in front of a spectacular view of Mt Rainier, and I was inspired to paint his favorite bike. Although excited by the challenge, I found the tires to be a difficult task. However, I’m very happy with the outcome. The North West is an amazing place to live in the summer; it provides inspiration and variety for the painter in unexpected ways.
