This is a very personal painting of my family. The two figures look out to sea as if searching for something or waiting… It is a quiet moment of reflection and sharing that we cannot know, but we sense the importance. The toys are left behind, digging is not as interesting. Still, a strength passes between them, a strength they will both need.
